The Emsworth Stroke Club recently hosted the "Better Health Village" as its contribution towards the Emsworth Food Festival and the National Stroke Awareness week. With the knowledge that ill-health prevention is better than any cure, the Club hosted the following groups within the Emsworth Centre, South Street:

• National Stroke Association display
• British Heart Foundation
• East Hampshire Community Rehabilitation Team in association with The Emsworth Surgery
• Community Dietetic Service
• Health Promotion Team for Hampshire
• Walking to Health Group
• A diabetic support group
• Weight advice group - after quitting smoking
